This is the train set that Lionel produced in celebration of their 90th anniversary in 1990. It consists of a diesel GP-9 engine five boxcars and a caboose, all decorated in Lionel orange and blue colors. The boxcars commemorate different time spans in Lionel's history and detail significant events that took place along the way such as in 1948 when the F-3 Diesel was introduced. One of the boxcars is equipped with Lionel RailSounds which produces digitally recorded sounds from real life diesel engines. The engine roar, horn and bell sounds are stored in electronic memory and are accessible at your command.
