This Southern Pacific Limited "Collector Series" boxed set was manufactured by Lionel in 1979. This set is still factory sealed, and it is getting harder and harder to find such sealed sets.
The set is comprised of:
Both diesel units feature interior lighting, die-cast, six-wheel trucks, with metal rails and a stamped metal chassis. The powered unit features a powerful Pullmor motor with traction tires.
All of the cars (except the caboose) have die-cast sprung trucks featuring metal wheels & axles. The caboose is illuminated and has die-cast trucks. All cars have operating magnetic knuckle couplers at both ends.
